Displaying the most popular moment from a YouTube video
Most recently, Google released an update to YouTube that allows users to see the most viewed segments of a video. Previously, this feature was only available to YouTube Premium users who tested the update. Now the new feature is available to all users, both in mobile and web versions. However, it is not added to all videos.
You can track the most viewed moments using the graph. The higher the scale, the more views on a particular segment of the video.
Before the innovation, video creators added timecodes or "chapters" to videos. The new feature will make it much easier to find interesting moments in long videos.
Thus, with this update, you can significantly reduce the time spent watching videos in their entirety. Each user will be able to watch only the most popular moments of the video if there is no time or desire to watch the entire video.
