Blocking accounts on Twitch
Recently, the Twitch platform has been hit with a lot of complaints about double standards. Recently, the streamer AverageHarry applied for an affiliate program, after this action, the channel was blocked. This is due to the fact that registration on the Twitch platform occurred 2 months before the guy's 13th birthday, and this is a violation of the rules.
Now the US COPPA law is in effect, which prohibits various platforms from collecting data on children under the age of 13. Accounts must be registered to the parents or guardians of the streamer, broadcasts can only be conducted in their presence.
Many popular bloggers began to worry about this, since their channels were created before they reached the age of 13. Thomas Simons, known to everyone as 'Tommyinnit', recently gathered about 650 thousand viewers on his stream. It was on the 3rd place in terms of the peak number of online users.
All users of the Twitch platform demand justice. Either all accounts of violators should be blocked, or the ban of other streamers whose channels exist for a long time should be suspended. The Twitch administration has not commented on the situation at this time.
