How to change your nickname on Twitch

When Twitch first appeared, there was no way to change your nickname. The developers added a new feature only after a large number of complaints and requests from ordinary viewers and streamers to optimize their favorite service. After adding it, it became available not only to change the main nickname, but also the username that is required when logging in to the service site.

At the moment, there are two ways to change the nickname on Twitch – it's via a PC or laptop and via a smartphone.

Changing your nickname via PC and smartphone

Using a normal computer, follow these steps:

1. 1. Go to the service login page and log in if you haven't logged in before.

2. 2. Next, go to the "Personal profile" which is located in the upper-right corner of the site;

3. 3. in the drop-down list, click on " Settings»;

4. 4. Scroll down the list and find "profile Settings";

5. 5. Go to this point and change the names in the required columns and re-log in to the service.

On a smartphone, we do this:

1. 1. Find the twitch site and go to it.

2. 2. Go through authorization and click on " Personal profile»;

3. 3. Also in the drop-down list, go to " Settings»;

4. 4. use the swipe down to move the list and find the "profile Settings" section and change what You need there;

5. 5. and re-pass authorization in order for the changes made to be saved and take effect.
