Sony representatives report that the number of sales could have been much higher. However, this is hindered by the lack of chips for the console and the crisis with semiconductors. At the moment, the demand for the PlayStation 5 is much higher than the supply. In Russia, this is especially felt, there are still no consoles in stores. Small batches are brought and they are immediately bought up by resellers.

In July of this year, the ten-millionth PS5 console was sold. This means that a huge number of copies were sold in 8 months from the start of sales. Can you imagine what would have happened if Sony had not had any difficulties?

Back in April, it was known about the sale of 7 million 800 thousand PS5 consoles. And even then it was considered the best-selling in the world. Will the competitors be able to bypass Sony?

We hope. That soon the shortage of consoles in Russia will stop and everyone will be able to buy it at the official price. Overbought purchases inflate prices by 1.5-2 times.
