The picture on the stream is glitching what to do

Every streamer from time to time may encounter such a problem that the picture on the stream is buggy - the image is greatly delayed, and sometimes it freezes altogether, not wanting to please regular viewers with its quality as before. We need to correct the situation as soon as possible so as not to lose our even very patient viewers. Let's fix the situation together from simple to complex.

Reboot anything that reboots

Computer, router - all this needs to be rebooted. After that, wait at least 8 minutes and turn it on again. As a rule, if the problem is not too serious, then this can be a way out of the situation.

Contact your provider

Perhaps, now there are problems on the line, and therefore the picture is delayed. During a call, it will not be superfluous to find out which line is on the BBC. Ideally, of course a dedicated line. In this case, the probability of freezing is extremely low. If there is no dedicated line, ask the providers to make it for you.

Check your computer for viruses

It is likely that the device is infected with viruses, and therefore the broadcast is delayed. Run a full scan of your device for possible infections. Yes, it will take time. But on the other hand, you will know why your computer simply hangs ugly and does not broadcast the image as it should.

Check your graphics card drivers

It is important to check the drivers. If they have not been updated for a long time, then there is a high probability that outdated drivers can also affect the display speed of the picture.

Free up computer resources. We recommend that you look in the task manager how busy the PC is during the broadcast. Setting it to a high resolution (2k, 4k) requires a lot of CPU, video memory, and RAM. If your computer is powerful enough, you should turn off all third-party programs or lower the broadcast quality.

Turn off firewall or add browser to exclusion lists. The fact is that antiviruses monitor computer processes and, if any of them consumes a lot of resources in the background, internal algorithms can block it.

Increase internet speed. To do this, it is enough to reduce the load on the network: turn off secondary devices, turn off the download of large files, stop other videos, improve the quality of Wi-Fi coverage in the house. Changing the Wi-Fi password can also help, if it has been compromised and is used by neighbors, this saves traffic quite well.

Turn VPN on or off. If you have it active, you should disable third-party servers through which you connect to Twitch. It works very often. If you have a direct connection, you can try switching to using a VPN. This works in cases where there are problems with accessing servers in a particular region.

Switch to another browser or download a branded application. It happens that an update in Opera interferes with normal operation, or installed extensions do not allow you to get a smooth picture. If you open a clean Google Chrome, the problem will automatically disappear. You can also start streaming in players like OBS. Oddly enough, they consume less PC resources and often perform better than browsers.

If all of the above steps do not help, look for information. Perhaps a major gamer competition is taking place on the net right now. In this case, it is better to wait until the end of the competition and broadcast the next day. Sometimes it happens that during peak hours, streaming platforms fail and freeze. The main thing is not to panic, because you can apologize to the audience and if they really understand, they will not unsubscribe from you en masse.
