A bad joke and the end of a career as a FIFA PRO player
Harry Hesketh was a professional FIFA player until recently, but a harmless joke served to disqualify him from the February tournament. Also, the young man had to leave the Fnatic team and say goodbye to continuing his career as an esports player.
Last December, the FUT Champios tournament was held, where Hesketh joked about 14-year-old player Anders Weirgang. The joke went like this: "Maybe his fingers are fast enough, but mine are longer." The tournament was broadcast on the Twitch platform.
EA subsequently began investigating the incident and decided to suspend Harry Hasket from esports. The pro player commented on the decision: "The power of EA allows you to eliminate anyone and for anything. They can act in this way, break their career because of a harmless joke, equating it with racism. " Anders Weirgang
himself said that he does not hold a grudge against Harry, the guy has nothing to do with the investigation.
