What to do if you are bullied by subscribers
Every streamer can experience the phenomenon of subscriber bullying. This is not the most pleasant phenomenon and there is a desire to immediately leave the channel, permanently delete all social media accounts and generally no longer have to deal with the virtual world. But you shouldn't do that. Let's figure out what to do if you are faced with bullying.
Disable all comments and close social networks
This is the first thing to do in order to stop receiving offensive comments from your viewers. Thus, they will understand that they cannot get you in any way. It will not be superfluous to close access to your page on social networks. Perhaps this will further anger your haters.
The second tip - in no case turn off the chat on the stream, because in addition to haters, there are also completely adequate subscribers, viewers who love you and your videos. Of course, haters can try to reach you via chat. You have every right to ignore inappropriate users or even send them to the black list. This will save dozens of your nerve cells.
Don't fall for the haters' demands
For example, they want you to stop swearing. But if you stop swearing, remove all your profanity from the air, they will understand that you can be manipulated. For all their complaints, they say, children can watch the channel - advise the children to remove them from computer screens and engage them, for example, with board games. This will be much more useful than staring at the streamer, who, screaming obscenities, plays a game that, well, does not work out in any way or is simply difficult to complete.
Do not insult back
We understand that sometimes you really want to send an annoying opponent to the most correct address. But it's better to remain silent. Remember that the real star is oblivious to those who bark at her. She just doesn't have enough time for this. Better get ideas for a new stream that will definitely delight adequate subscribers. If haters are causing a lot of inconvenience, complain about them to the moderators. Most likely, they will understand you and block those who behave inappropriately.
Nevertheless, if you are given good advice, you should thank those who give it. And whether to do it or not is your own business. Thus, it turns out that everyone is happy - the audience spoke up, and you answered politely enough.
Contact the police
If the aggressive behavior of the spectators has crossed all the boundaries, contact the police. Take care of the evidence base. This will help protect you in court if it does take place.
