Pick a bot, tick the commands you need and fill in links or text. The tool builds ready-made lines: copy them and send them to your channel's chat one at a time. The bot will confirm that the command was added.
Send the lines one at a time: if you paste several at once, Twitch merges them into a single message. Only the channel owner or a moderator can add commands.
Everything is calculated in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
For Nightbot the line looks like !commands add !discord -cd=30 response text, and -ul sets the user level (moderator, twitch_vip, regular, subscriber). StreamElements adds a command with !command add !discord text, and the cooldown and level go in a second line, !command options !discord -cd 30 -level 500, where 100 is everyone, 250 subscribers, 300 regulars, 400 VIPs and 500 moderators. Uptime comes from a bot variable: $(twitch $(channel) "{{uptimeLength}}") in Nightbot (Twitch only) and $(uptime) in StreamElements.
Only the channel owner or a moderator can add commands, and the bot has to be in your chat. A Twitch chat message can be up to 500 characters, and the tool highlights longer lines. If a command with the same name already exists, the bot will not overwrite it: delete the old one or edit it in the bot's dashboard. The syntax follows the Nightbot and StreamElements docs as of October 2026.
Type in your channel's chat: !commands add !name response text, for example !commands add !discord Join our Discord: link. Set the cooldown in seconds with -cd= and the user level with -ul=moderator or another value.
With the StreamElements bot in your channel, send !command add !name response text. The cooldown and user level are set with a separate line: !command options !name -cd 30 -level 500.
In StreamElements: !command add !uptime Live for $(uptime). In Nightbot: !commands add !uptime Live for $(twitch $(channel) "{{uptimeLength}}"). The Nightbot version works on Twitch only.
Usually the line was sent by someone who is neither the owner nor a moderator, the bot is not in the chat, or a command with that name already exists. Check the length too: Twitch will not send a message longer than 500 characters.
