Akyuliych: Family Difficulties
She didn't start streaming for money or fame — she just needed someone to talk to. Difficult family circumstances drove the 15-year-old Anna into emotional isolation, and live streaming became her only outlet. Today, seven years later, Akyuliych is one of the most recognizable streamers in the Russian internet with a million-strong audience on Twitch. How did openness about personal difficulties become her main strength and lead to success? Let's find out in this article.
Who is Akyuliych: Facts and Figures
Anna Yurievna Chernyuk, known by the nickname Akyuliych (pronounced "Akulich"), was born on September 16, 2003, in Yekaterinburg. At the time of writing, she is 22 years old.
As of May 2026: on Twitch, Anna has over 1,097,000 subscribers. Her main streaming genre is Just Chatting, which means live interaction with viewers. The channel was created on September 30, 2018, and she has about seven years of streaming experience.
Anna is also developing in music and cinema. She has collaborated on tracks with Dora, Molodoy Platon, and Gensyxa, and in 2025, she passed a casting for a role in a series with Mark Eidelstein but declined due to lack of acting education.
Childhood: When Life Crumbles in a Few Months
Anna's childhood was far from cloudless. Within just three to four months, a series of tragic events occurred in her family. First, her father died. Then, her maternal grandparents were diagnosed with cancer. One distant relative ran into legal trouble. Anna got used to falling asleep to her mother Oksana's crying.
The schoolgirl had almost no friends. She escaped from problems into virtual reality: playing computer games, following Xesus and Bratishkinoff's streams on Twitch.
At 14, Anna got her first job – as a waitress in a cafe. Working twelve hours a day, the schoolgirl earned at best a thousand rubles per shift. She was paid seventy rubles an hour, but tips helped. Customers eagerly tipped the polite and diplomatic girl who quelled any conflicts in their infancy.
Anna's mother dreamed for her to pursue medicine. But the girl didn't want to take the Unified State Exam and left school after the ninth grade to go to college. However, she never received her diploma.
How Akyuliych Started Streaming: From Despair to Air
Family problems, including those related to the health of her loved ones, pushed the girl to start streaming. She wanted to communicate with someone, to get advice, to share her thoughts.
As she herself later admitted: "Such a depression came over me, as if I was locked in a box without windows. I wanted to break out of there, to talk to someone, to get advice from people like me."
Anna's first stream was dedicated to watching a movie together with subscribers. This format helped her feel confident and realize that live communication with an audience was exactly what she enjoyed.
At first, her parents were skeptical of her hobby, as she conducted broadcasts quite emotionally and loudly. But when streaming began to generate income, her parents became more tolerant of this activity.
Bratishkin's Accidental Raid: The Moment That Changed Everything
A turning point in Anna's career came when she accidentally fell under a raid by Vladimir "Bratishkinoff" Semenyuk. At that moment, she was broadcasting live at night, and suddenly thousands of viewers flooded her channel. It was then that the thought first crossed her mind: "Why not try it myself?"
Later, Bratishkin noticed her content and invited her to a joint broadcast, and participation in the streamer "mafia" attracted even more attention to her channel. Bratishkin played the role of a mentor and a "trampoline" that helped the young streamer reach a larger audience.
Anna also recalled that her first donation — 300 rubles, received deep in the night during a random stream — seemed like a huge sum to her and became a symbol of possible success: "I remember, it was night. I was streaming, I got 300 rubles donated. My eyes were like this... It was a huge amount of money. I run to my mom: 'Mom, I got 300 rubles donated! It's insane!'"
Sincerity as a Strategy: Why Viewers Stay
Akyuliych's main feature is sincerity. She doesn't pretend to be an ideal blogger; she doesn't play a role. She simply lives on camera, shares her experiences, and isn't afraid to appear vulnerable.
As she describes her approach: "If you're young and can't stand profanity, go do your homework!" This directness, combined with openness, creates a unique atmosphere of trust. Viewers feel that Anna isn't faking it. She answers any questions, tries to give advice in difficult situations — which is why her fans adore her.
One source notes: she has practically no haters, and rude comments are rare. This is an unusual phenomenon for Russian-speaking Twitch, where female channels typically receive twice as much negativity.
Akyuliych's main content formats: Just Chatting — communicating with subscribers, answering questions, discussing life situations; co-watching movies with reactions; gaming streams (Minecraft, CS2); covers and song performances.
Income and Move to Moscow
As of 2023, Anna's income from all her social networks ranged from three hundred thousand to a million rubles per month. This money allowed the girl to move to Moscow, where she continued to develop her career. Initially, Anna lived in one room with her brother and was embarrassed to stream in his presence — she would turn off broadcasts when he came in.
In September 2024, Anna purchased a BMW X4 — further evidence that streaming brings stable high income. During the same period, she temporarily disappeared from social networks, explaining it as emotional burnout, taking a month for herself, engaging in self-development, learning a foreign language, and working with a psychologist.
