Streamers Anar & Renatko Arrested
In early February 2026, a scandal erupted in Almaty that shook the streaming community and attracted the attention of thousands of viewers on both sides of the border. Two well-known bloggers – Anar Abdullayev and Renat Pashaev (known as Renatko) – were arrested for offensive statements made towards Kazakh girls during a live broadcast.
The incident occurred when the streamers got into a verbal conflict with Kazakh viewers. During the broadcast, they made several harsh comments about local girls, stating that Kazakh women were messaging them privately, and hinted that they did not want to spend time with such ladies. All of this was accompanied by laughter and expletives.
A recording of the broadcast quickly spread across social networks and caused a wave of outrage among Kazakhs. The Almaty police promptly responded to the situation, initiating administrative proceedings for petty hooliganism.
Who are Anar Abdullayev and Renatko
Anar Abdullayev
Anar Abdullayev is one of the most popular Russian-speaking IRL streamers. At the end of 2025, he won the SLAY (Stream Legends Awards of the Year) awards in the "Breakthrough of the Year" and "Best IRL Streamer" categories.
Before his streaming career, Anar worked as a consultant at an Adidas store in Krasnodar. His journey into streaming began with his friendship with Daniil Syrbu, who then invited him to participate in joint broadcasts. Anar's first broadcasts gathered only 17-20 viewers, but a month later, popular blogger Renat Pashaev joined him, after which his online viewership grew to 1000 people.
Today, Anar earns about 10 million rubles a month, with one broadcast potentially costing him 50 thousand rubles. He is known for his love of expensive cars: his fleet includes an Audi RS5, Audi RS7, BMW M5, and friends gave him a Mercedes-Benz G-class worth 25 million rubles.
Renat Pashaev (Renatko)
Renat Pashaev is a popular Twitch streamer in the "Just Chatting" category and a former Counter-Strike 2 esports player. He was born on June 20, 1999, in Georgia. He began his online career with a CS-themed YouTube channel, where he gained about 40 thousand subscribers. He registered on Twitch in 2015.
His real popularity came after joining the STAYA squad. Joint broadcasts with members of this team attracted the attention of thousands of viewers.
Renat has already had legal troubles: on New Year's Eve 2025 in Moscow, he insulted police officers and their relatives during a broadcast, then started shooting from a car window. After attempting to hastily fly out of the country, he was detained at Sochi airport, and a criminal case was opened against him under the article "Hooliganism."
Public Reaction and Police Intervention
Immediately after fragments of the scandalous stream spread across social networks, Kazakhs began to actively express their outrage. Residents of Almaty were not limited to online comments – they found the streamers and had an explanatory conversation with them.
During the discussion of the situation, Anar and Renatko publicly apologized on camera. However, this was not enough.
Kazakh actor and MMA fighter Erkebulan Toktar addressed the streamers with a harsh statement:
“Guys, if this happens again on my territory, in my country, on my land, I will send you as carry-on luggage. Personally, I promise that I will send you as carry-on luggage. You will go home in pieces.”
The Almaty police initiated administrative proceedings. The city's Police Department emphasized that the internet space is not a zone of impunity: statements and behavior on social networks are subject to the same legal assessment as actions in public places.
Court Decision: 15 Days of Administrative Arrest
The Specialized Interdistrict Administrative Court of Almaty reviewed the case materials and found both streamers guilty of petty hooliganism. Each of them was sentenced to administrative arrest for a period of 15 days.
This decision caused a mixed reaction in society. Many Kazakhs considered the punishment too lenient. Investigative journalist Mikhail Kozachkov, in his Telegram channel, called the incident "news from a parallel universe" and doubted the correctness of qualifying the offense. According to him, if the streamers insulted the girls precisely on ethnic grounds, then their actions fall under a much more serious criminal article on inciting ethnic hatred.
New Criminal Case: Article on Inciting Hatred
A few days after the arrest, Deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Galymzhan Koigeldiyev made an important statement. It turned out that the story did not end there.
“They were brought in for petty hooliganism – 15 days of arrest. At the same time, I can say that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation under Article 174 – 'Inciting ethnic hatred.' A separate article will now be investigated.”
This meant that the streamers faced not just administrative arrest, but real prison time. Article 174 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan ("Inciting ethnic hatred") provides for punishment up to imprisonment for up to 10 years.
At the time of the Deputy Prosecutor General's statement, it was unclear whether citizens of other countries had already been brought to justice under this article in Kazakhstan.
Apologies and Return Home
After serving a 15-day arrest, Anar Abdullayev recorded a video message on his Telegram channel. He admitted that the punishment was deserved.
“Hello everyone! I still can't believe how it all happened. Renat and I went through a terrible path, in my opinion – a deserved path. We suffered punishment, we didn't want to cause inconvenience, insults, and so on to anyone, I want everyone to know.”
After returning to Russia, Anar published an animated Lego-style video on Telegram, depicting the situation he experienced in Kazakhstan. The video ended with the inscription "I'm sorry."
