What is a username in Telegram and how to get it?
A username (or simply “nick”) in Telegram is a unique username that you can choose for yourself and which will be displayed on your profile. A username allows other users to easily find you on Telegram, even if they don't know your phone number.
To get or change your Telegram username, follow these simple steps:
1. Open the Telegram application on your device.
2. Go to the "Settings" section (usually this is a gear. As a rule, you need to click on the three bars in the upper left corner of the screen).
3. In the settings menu, select "Username".
4. Here you can create a new username or change an existing one. The username can contain letters, numbers and underscores, but cannot begin with a number.
5. After selecting or creating a new username, click “Save” (checkmark in the upper right corner).
After this, the selected username will be displayed on your profile, and other users will be able to use it to search for you on Telegram.
