Where is Max +100500 now?
A leopard print rug, ear tunnels, witty profanity, and a phrase that became a meme: "LET'S GO!" – if you witnessed Russian YouTube in the early 2010s, the name Max +100500 (Maxim Golopolosov) is definitely familiar to you. His channel AdamThomasMoran was one of the first to gather millions of subscribers when the very concept of "blogger" was just entering our lives.
In 2010, when YouTube was not yet an empire, Max began releasing the show "+100500" – reviews of the funniest (and strangest) videos from the internet. His sarcastic humor, charisma, and that "sincerity on the verge of impropriety" quickly made him an idol of a generation. At the peak of his popularity in 2020, he earned up to $10,000 per month on YouTube.
But time does not stand still. Algorithms changed, trends shifted, and Max himself, judging by his income, faded into the background. Today, in 2026, his monthly income from YouTube is estimated at only $1,000 – 10 times less than six years ago.
Where did the main "reviewer" of the Russian internet go? Why did his income crash? And what is he doing now? Let's find out – with nostalgia, but without embellishment.
Who is Max +100500: The Story of His Rise
Real Name and Early Years
Maxim Sergeevich Golopolosov was born on November 1, 1989, in Moscow. Unlike many bloggers who started in their teens, Max was already 21 when he created the channel. Perhaps this age difference gave his project that "adult" irony that set him apart from others.
Before YouTube, he studied at the Faculty of Philology at Kuban State University (KubSU) and worked in various fields, including copywriting and advertising. A philologist by education – which, you'll agree, is perfect for someone who makes a living with witty comments.
The Birth of the Show "+100500" (2010)
On July 25, 2010, Max created the AdamThomasMoran channel and released the first episode of the "+100500" show. The idea was simple, like all brilliant ideas: take the most viral videos from the internet and comment on them with sarcasm, profanity, and inimitable charisma. The name "+100500" meant a "mega-positive" rating – one hundred thousand five hundred out of one hundred points.
Max borrowed the format from the American show "Equals Three" (hosted by Ray William Johnson), but quickly brought his unique style to it.
What set Max apart:
- Leopard print rug. A constant background that became a hallmark of the show. No one knew why it was there, but without it, the episode just wasn't the same.
- Ear tunnels. Another element of the "rebellious" image that was memorable.
- Sincerity on the verge of impropriety. Max wasn't afraid to swear, laugh at the absurd, and say what others thought but were too shy to express.
- The phrase "LET'S GO!". A starting cry that energized and set a positive mood.
The audience appreciated it. By 2012, Max already had millions of subscribers, and the show "+100500" had become cult.
Career Peak: 2011–2016
In 2011, Max founded CarambaTV.ru – an information and entertainment portal that received the "Runet Prize" in the same year as the best startup of the year. It wasn't just a blog, but an entire media empire.
But the main breakthrough was going to television. On October 23, 2011, the show "+100500" first appeared on the "Perets" TV channel (later renamed "Che"). This was an unprecedented case: an internet show created by one person made it to a federal channel. The story itself is unique: before this, no project on the Russian internet had aired on a TV channel as an independent show.
The TV version aired until December 18, 2016. However, the TV format had one drawback: profanity had to be cut or censored, which, according to Max himself, greatly annoyed him.
In 2013, Max tried his hand as a host of the extreme music show "Karaoke Killer" on the "Yu" TV channel. In 2014–2015, he hosted the program "Internet Heroes" on "Perets". In 2016 – the travel show "100500 Cities" on "Che". He actively expanded his media empire.
Music Career
Few people know, but Max is also a musician. He plays guitar and writes songs, and his musical work in recent years has become no less important a part of his life than YouTube.
In November 2025, he starred in the sketch show "Office Phoenixes" on the "Che" TV channel, where he played a sales department employee who dreams of music. Max himself described his hero as follows:
"Our story is about ordinary people with ordinary problems. It was interesting for me to transform into the image of a simple guy who works for a salary during the day and in the evenings finds time for his favorite hobby – writes and plays music for the soul."
This phrase is an excellent metaphor for himself in 2026.
In May 2026, Max participated in the "Tasteless Cartridges" podcast, where he talked about video games – another long-standing passion of his. It turned out that he is a big fan of Nintendo, and his love for this company is not just words, but sincere emotions he has felt since childhood.
Conflict and Return to TV
2017: Break with "Che" Channel
In 2017, Max's career experienced a crisis. He and several employees of his show stopped cooperating with the "Che" TV channel. The reason was a conflict with the new heads of the "CTC Media" holding and its subsidiary Caramba Media.
It was a difficult period. "+100500" disappeared from television. It seemed the era had ended.
2018: Reboot
But a year and a half later, a miracle happened. The "Che" channel was headed by Elena Karpenko, who reformatted it and brought Max back. On August 19, 2018, the TV version of "+100500" aired again.
Since then, Max has consistently collaborated with the TV channel. In 2021, he became the host of the show "ITopchik" on the same channel.
