EeOneGuy: Where did he go?
If you witnessed Russian-speaking YouTube in the mid-2010s, the name EeOneGuy needs no introduction. He wasn't just a blogger – he was an idol for an entire generation. His charisma, insane energy, Minecraft let's plays, and infectious laugh garnered millions of views. In 2017, he became the most popular Russian-speaking YouTuber.
And then he disappeared. Didn't leave with a bang, didn't say goodbye. He just stopped communicating, leaving 16 million subscribers baffled. Years passed, rumors multiplied, and Ivan remained a mystery.
So, where did the main idol of millions go, and what is he doing now? Let's find out.
Who is EeOneGuy: The Story of His Rise
Ivan Romanovich Rudsky was born on January 19, 1996, in the village of Annovka, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine. He studied at school #127 in Kryvyi Rih, showed aptitude for mathematics, and even practiced judo.
He created his YouTube channel on March 19, 2013. His first videos were shot on a phone, often right during lessons. They consisted of Minecraft let's plays, sketches, pranks, and simply crazy vlogs. His energy was infectious, and his sincerity was captivating.
By 2014, he had already gained a million subscribers. By 2016, 10 million. In April 2017, EeOneGuy officially became the most popular Russian-speaking YouTuber. His video "#DELAYPOVVOEMU" (DOITYOURWAY) garnered over 48 million views. The clip "Hayu-Hay" with Trinergy – over 34 million.
He moved to Japan with Mariana Ro, created content, traveled, and recorded music. It seemed his popularity would grow indefinitely.
The Disappearance: How It Happened
And then came silence. In 2017, EeOneGuy practically stopped communicating. No official statements, no farewell videos. Just a pause that stretched for years.
It later became known that he went to study in Warsaw, focusing on beatmaking and music education. But fans were left without answers to the main questions: why? What for? Will he return?
Officially, EeOneGuy's years of activity on YouTube are listed as 2013–2017. But this is not entirely accurate – he did return, albeit not with the same volume.
The Return: 2020 and Beyond
In 2018, Ivan signed a contract with the Russian YouTube network Yoola. In 2019, he released his first song in English under the new pseudonym AWEN.
From 2020, he gradually began to return to creating videos on YouTube. But it was no longer the crazy EeOneGuy who jumped into the camera and yelled "Hayu-hay." More mature, more reserved, he began to experiment with formats, shooting reactions and reviews.
However, the return was not loud. His old channel, which once gained millions of views a day, barely reached hundreds of thousands. The algorithms changed. The audience grew up. And new stars – Vlad A4, Masomka, DanKar – took over the niche he once created.
What is Known About Him Now: 2026
Let's look at the numbers. According to analytical services as of May 2026, the main EeOneGuy channel has 16.4 million subscribers with a total of 3.87 billion views. 452 videos have been uploaded to the channel.
And this is where it gets interesting.
In the last 30 days, the channel has not gained a single new subscriber. None at all. Zero. This is incredible statistics for a channel with 16 million. It indicates that the channel is practically dead – new people don't find it, YouTube algorithms don't promote it.
At the same time, daily views are about 18-20 thousand per day. Per month – about 540 thousand views.
Income from YouTube monetization, according to analysts, is about 1,000 – 1,120 dollars per month. This is approximately 90-100 thousand rubles. For an ordinary person – decent. For the former king of YouTube, who at the peak of popularity earned millions – a drop in the ocean.
What About the Music?
In parallel with YouTube, Ivan is actively involved in music – and this direction, perhaps, he does better.
He has three creative pseudonyms:
- EeOneGuy – for songs in Russian. In 2021, the singles "Demon" and "Nafig" were released. In 2022 – "Kyivstar," "Tepliy Doshch" (featuring To Eternity), "Hot Wheels," "Paradox."
- AWEN – for songs in English. In 2019-2022, the tracks "Angst," "Flame," "Sugar," "Gravity," "Porsche," "Cash," "Lowkey" were released.
- IVAN – under this name, the single "My Heart" was released in 2019.
The most recent release is the single "Plural," released in 2025.
After the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Ivan terminated his contract with the Russian label Yoola and began releasing songs in Ukrainian. Among them – "Tepliy Doshch," "Eney," and "Kyivstar," whose name speaks for itself.
How Many Times He "Died": Rumors and Denials
There's another strange phenomenon associated with EeOneGuy's name. Every few years, rumors of his death surface online.
This happened particularly actively during his long absences from social media. Fans panicked, public pages spread fakes, and Ivan remained silent. Only later would he emerge with a new video or track, refuting all speculation.
The history of this myth goes back to his early years, when he joked about death in videos. The joke turned into a meme, and the meme into a persistent rumor. Ivan himself never seriously commented on these fabrications.
Why He Left: Looking Back
There is still no answer to this question. But we can assume.
First – burnout. Years of daily content creation, the race for views, audience pressure – all this is exhausting. Many YouTubers of that generation (both EeOneGuy himself and his colleagues) went into the shadows precisely for this reason.
Second – a desire to develop in a different direction. He went to study in Warsaw to pursue music professionally. This was a conscious choice, not an escape.
