According to users who use it, ad videos on Twitch are either not shown or shown significantly less often. This is likely due to Alternate Player using an alternative method of obtaining the video stream from Twitch servers, different from the standard player. SureStream technology may not yet extend to this method of video acquisition.
How to Install Alternate Player
The extension is available for most popular browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Microsoft Edge.
In Google Chrome or any other Chromium-based browser, go to the Chrome Web Store. In the search bar, type "Alternate Player for Twitch." Find the extension with a purple triangle icon on a black background. Click "Install" and confirm the action.
In Mozilla Firefox, go to the Firefox Add-ons store. Find "Alternate Player for Twitch" and click "Add to Firefox."
