How to promote streams in MAX

MAX in 2026 is not just a messenger for chatting. It's a full-fledged ecosystem where channels and chats work as promotional tools. Unlike Telegram, where your message drowns in a sea of spam and bots, MAX is currently quiet, clean, and every user counts. This material explains how to use MAX channels and chats to grow your audience on streams.

How MAX Differs from Telegram for Promotion

Before moving on to the strategies, you need to understand the main thing: MAX is not Telegram. What worked there will fail here. And vice versa.

In Telegram, the audience is used to noise. People are subscribed to 50+ channels, scan the feed diagonally, and react to loud headlines and emotional triggers. In MAX, the user culture is different. People here value quiet, quality, and exclusivity. They subscribe to 5-10 channels and actually read posts.

Key differences for promotion:

MAX has no fake bots. Every subscriber is a real person.

MAX algorithms promote channels with high engagement, not just a large number of junk subscribers.

A chat in MAX is not a垃圾 dump, but a workspace. Spam is killed instantly.

Notifications in MAX always arrive. People don't turn them off because there's almost no spam.

This means that in MAX, you won't thrive on "hype" and viral memes. But if you have quality content and the right strategy – growth will be faster than in Telegram.

Strategy 1. Channel as a funnel to the stream

The most basic, but most important, strategy. Your channel in MAX is not an archive of recordings or a junk pile for links. It's a funnel that leads the viewer to the stream.

Structure of a working channel:

An announcement post 24 hours before the stream. Not “stream tomorrow at 8 PM”, but a story. For example: “Tomorrow at 8 PM, I'll be breaking down the new patch. Last week I found a bug that breaks the Morphling's imba. I'll show you how to reproduce it. Those who don't come will lose the next match.” The announcement should provide specific utility or intrigue, not just inform.

A reminder post 1 hour before the stream. Short, dry, with a direct link. “Starting in an hour. Topic – Morphling bug. Link: [here].” MAX allows you to embed a button for transition – use it.

A post during the stream. If the stream is long (3+ hours), make an intermediate post. “Now I'll show the most difficult moment. Those who are stuck – come over.” This attracts those who forgot or got distracted.

A post after the stream with the recording. The stream is automatically saved in the channel. Write: “Stream recording. Timestamps in the first comment.” MAX AI can automatically generate timestamps for key moments – use this feature.

Important: all posts must be in one channel. Don't create separate channels for announcements, separate for recordings, separate for communication. The viewer will get tired of switching.

Strategy 2. Warming up through a private subscriber chat

This strategy is for those who already have at least 50-100 paid or active subscribers. A private chat is your main retention tool.

How it works: a separate chat is created within the channel, accessible only to those who have purchased a paid subscription or received an invitation from the administrator. In this chat, you communicate with your most loyal audience – discuss upcoming streams, gather ideas, test hypotheses.

Why this promotes streams: loyal subscribers become your advocates. They themselves join the stream in the first minutes (which increases your rating within MAX), type in the chat (creating activity), and invite friends. One active fan brings 2-3 new viewers per month.

How to launch: create a separate chat within the channel (the “Create chat” button), set access via an invitation link. Send the link to paid subscribers in private messages or in a post.

Example of engagement through a private chat: “Today at 7 PM, I’ll hold a test stream in private mode – I’ll be setting up new software. Errors and lags are guaranteed, but you'll see the process from the inside. Link in the subscriber chat.” People come not for perfect content, but for exclusivity.

Strategy 3. Advertising integrations in other chats

MAX does not yet have paid advertising in the usual sense. But there are live chats where you can arrange with administrators.

How it works: you find a channel or chat on your topic with an audience of 500-2000 subscribers. You offer the administrator: “I’ll make a post about my stream in your channel, and you do the same in mine.” Or, if you have few subscribers yet, you offer payment – 500-1000 rubles per post.

Why this is ethical: MAX does not like direct spam. You don't just drop a link in a general chat, but arrange with the administrator. The post looks like a recommendation: “Friends, pay attention to the channel @username. The author makes quality Dota analyses, tomorrow he has a stream on the Morphling bug.”

Where to look: in the MAX search, type in keywords for your topic. For example, “esports”, “Dota 2”, “streams”, “games”. Find 10-20 channels with a live audience (comments under posts) and write to the administrators.

Strategy 4. MAX AI for automatic promotion

MAX has a built-in neural network that can not only respond to messages but also promote your content. This function is used by very few, which is a pity.

MAX AI can be trained in three ways:

Answer questions about your schedule. When someone types “when is the stream?” in the chat, the bot automatically replies with a link.

Search for mentions of your topic in public chats. For example, if someone types “looking for a Dota streamer,” the bot sends them a link to your channel.

Congratulate new subscribers and invite them to the upcoming stream.

How to set up: in the channel settings there is a section “MAX AI - scenarios”. You create a trigger (e.g., the phrase “when is the stream?”) and an action (a response with text and a link). Setup takes 30 minutes, but saves hours of manual communication.

Strategy 5. Challenges and contests within the chat

MAX chats support polls, giveaways, and interactive surveys. Use them to warm up your audience before a stream.

Working strategy:

3 days before the stream: a poll in the chat. “What should I stream on tomorrow? A) Morphling, B) Invoker, C) Sniper.” People vote, discuss, argue. The chat is alive, everyone receives notifications.

The day before the stream: announcement. “As the majority chose – tomorrow is a Morphling stream. I’ll break down the build that brought me 500 MMR in a week.”

An hour before the stream: final post. “Starting in an hour. The first person to join the chat after it starts will get their replay analyzed by me for free.”

Why it works: you don't just inform, you engage. People feel a sense of participation in content selection, so they come to the stream already interested.

Strategy 6. Cross-promotion with other streamers in MAX

MAX is a small platform. Competition here doesn't kill, it unites. Arrange with 2-3 streamers from related niches for ongoing cross-promotion.

How it looks: You agree that at the end of each of your streams, you say: “And tomorrow at the same time, my colleague @username has a Valorant stream. Highly recommend, he knows his stuff.” The colleague does the same for you.

Why it works in MAX: in MAX, people are less "blinkered" by one blogger. They are open to new channels because the platform is new. One such cross-promotion can bring 20-50 active viewers to a stream.

Where to find colleagues: in the MAX search by tags "streamer", "gaming", "esports". Look for channels with 200-1000 subscribers - your level.

Strategy 7. Auto-funnel via MAX Pay

MAX Pay allows you to set up automatic actions upon subscription. This is a powerful promotion tool that almost no one uses.

Set up: when a user subscribes to your channel (even for 50 rubles), MAX automatically:

Sends them a private message with thanks and a link to the upcoming stream.

Adds them to the private subscriber chat (where you announce streams first).

Gives them a special status in the general chat (e.g., “Mega Viewer”).

Deposit funds, one-click order, discounts and bonuses are available only for registered users. Register.
