Karina Cross: Creative Slump
Karina Cross is one of the brightest and most controversial names in the Russian-speaking blogosphere. Singer, blogger, hockey player's wife, former participant in scandalous projects. Behind her—an arrest for blocking Novy Arbat, filming a romantic show, a wedding with a man 11 years her junior, and a wave of hate that made her cry live on air.
In the last months of 2026, so many events are happening around Karina that it seems she's living in fast forward. A wedding, a church wedding, paid hate, threats of revelations, creative plans, and public tears — all intertwined into a tangled mess that we will now try to unravel.
So what is really happening with Karina Cross? Creative depression, a difficult period in life, or just another turn of publicity from which she emerges even stronger? Let's figure it out.
Who is Karina Cross: from blogger to bride
Real name and path to fame
Karina Cross is a pseudonym. The blogger's real name is Karina Lazaryants. She was born on March 31, 1993, and as of early 2026, she is 33 years old.
She began her career as a typical beauty blogger, but over time her ambitions grew. She tried her hand at music, participated in scandalous projects, but most importantly—always remained in the spotlight.
Relationship with Dava and arrest on Novy Arbat
One of the most talked-about pages in Karina's biography is her relationship with blogger David Manukyan, known as Dava. Their romance was turbulent, public, and inevitably ended in a breakup. But before that, they managed to get involved in a high-profile scandal.
On January 13, 2019, Karina Cross and Dava blocked the roadway on Novy Arbat in Moscow to film a music video. The police did not appreciate their creative approach. The bloggers were taken to the station, and administrative protocols were drawn up for violating traffic rules and organizing a mass gathering of citizens in public places.
The result — 10 days of arrest for both.
Years later, in April 2026, Karina gave an interview where she called this decision "a terrible stupidity." She admitted that after the arrest, she began to take her words and actions seriously:
"At that moment, I realized that I would never again allow myself to hype something. I will slowly, steadily, truly develop through creativity."
This statement is key to understanding where Karina is now. She is tired of hype for hype's sake. She wants to do something real. But the system she lives in, and the audience that follows her, are not always ready for such a turn.
The main event of 2026: wedding with Mark Rudakovsky
Meeting and rapid romance
In the summer of 2025, Karina Cross became the heroine of the romantic show "Girlfriends," where participants choose grooms. The episode was successful — Karina left the studio with her chosen one. He was 22-year-old hockey player Mark Rudakovsky.
Their relationship developed rapidly. Just seven months after they met, Mark proposed to Karina — and he did it spectacularly, right during a hockey match.
Karina said yes.
Church wedding and wedding
Their feelings were so strong that the couple decided not to delay. First, they were married in a church (April 19, 2026), and then officially registered their marriage at the registry office.
For Karina, this event was deeply personal. In an interview with Nadezhda Strelets, she admitted:
"I don't understand how one can under a sacred sacrament, where people are married, where it is such a strong, important act, only for Mark and me, for our parents."
She explained that the ceremony used items of special significance to their families, including a family rushnyk (embroidered towel) passed down through generations. For her, it was not a PR stunt, but a real, intimate moment.
Age difference as a pretext for hate
But the internet is the internet. Instead of congratulations, Karina received a wave of criticism. The main reason — the age difference: she is 33, he is 22. Users wrote biting comments, called them "mother and son" and openly mocked them.
Karina couldn't hold back tears in the interview:
"It affects me that people have stopped feeling."
She explained that she doesn't understand how one can speak negatively about such an important event as a church wedding. And she added:
"When a man is 10, 20, or 30 years older, society accepts it normally. It's very strange to me when a person is judged by age, and not by their thinking, their actions."
The hate turned out to be ordered
"Your opinion for 10 rubles"
A few weeks after the wedding, Karina made a shocking statement. In a video posted on social media, she revealed that all the hate directed at her was ordered.
She explained that there are special websites and Telegram bots where any user can order negative comments on any topic.
"When I started getting comments of the same type, 'mother and son' ... I thought: damn, people have really degraded or something is wrong with them. But it turns out that nothing is wrong with them, they are just mercenary people who for 10 rubles, as they write: 'This is my opinion!' Your opinion costs 10 rubles, dude!"
Karina stated that the owner of one of the comment-ordering sites himself contacted her because he "sympathizes" with her couple with Rudakovsky. He named the client.
Who is this client? Karina did not reveal the name but made it clear that it was "a person from the media." She threatened that if he didn't get in touch and explain his motives, she would "spill everything absolutely."
"You know that I never attack and don't like to quarrel, but I won't let anyone offend me! Shall we restore justice?" Cross wrote under the post.
This statement caused a new wave of discussions. Now, they were no longer discussing the age difference between Karina and Mark, but who and why ordered the blogger's harassment.
