Stream to Twitch and YouTube simultaneously (restream)
Method 1. OBS Multi-RTMP by SoraYuki
The simplest and most preferred method is using the OBS plugin Multi-RTMP by SoraYuki: sorayuki/obs-multi-rtmp.
Some
streamers run two different programs to simulcast, but this is highly
inefficient and puts unnecessary strain on your PC. A much better
solution is using this plugin.
I personally use it and highly recommend it. If you don’t use OBS, simply search for a similar plugin by typing "multi RTMP" + your streaming software name.
Method 2. Using GoodGame Platform
The best way to simulcast is via the GoodGame platform, which supports dual streaming with maximum comfort and quality, requiring no complex setup.
Registration on GoodGame
Go to the main page and complete the simple registration by entering the required details.
You can also sign up via social networks for faster access.
After logging in, go to your profile, click "Add", then select "Channel".
Choose a channel name, specify the stream’s theme, and upload a logo (any image will work).
Finalize the setup by going to the "Settings" tab.
Configuring OBS Studio
OBS Studio is one of the best streaming tools due to its intuitive interface and customization options. Here’s how to set it up:
Open OBS and go to Settings.
Under "Stream", select GoodGame as the service.
The server will auto-detect (there’s only one).
Paste your previously obtained stream key.
In the "Output" tab below, adjust the streaming settings as needed.
Close the settings and click "Start Streaming". Your broadcast is now live.
Setting Up Restream
To simulcast on Twitch and YouTube, follow these steps:
Return to GoodGame, go to your channel, and click the gear icon next to "Start Restream". Check YouTube and Twitch.
Find your Twitch stream key in the Dashboard → Channel Settings → Stream Key (click "Show Key").
For YouTube, get the key from YouTube Studio → Live Streaming → Stream Key. Enter both keys on GoodGame.
Once done, start the restream. If everything is set correctly, streams will begin with a ~10-second delay.
Method 3. Paid Service – Restream.io
A premium option costing $10–20/month. Offers convenient features.
Alternatives: Wave.video, Switchboard Live, Wirecast, Castr, Resi, etc.
